Tata Sierra Registers Record Bookings on Day One in India

Tata Motors has begun accepting bookings for the Tata Sierra SUV in India from December 16, 2026, and the response has been immediate and strong. On the first day itself, the Sierra recorded 70,000 bookings, with the automaker also confirming over 1.35 lakh configuration confirmations. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from January 15, 2026.

The early demand highlights a successful return for the Sierra nameplate in India’s highly competitive SUV market.

According to Tata Motors, the 1.35 lakh confirmations represent customers who have already selected their preferred variants and configurations and are awaiting completion of remaining formalities.

Originally a cult SUV in the 1990s, the Tata Sierra returns with a refreshed design while retaining its legacy appeal.

Bookings for the Tata Sierra are open with a booking amount of ₹21,000. The SUV was launched in India on November 25 and sits above the Tata Curvv in the brand’s SUV lineup.
