BYD ATTO 1 is the latest entry-level electric hatchback that has officially launched in Nepal via Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles. The debut took place during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Priced below Rs. 29 lakhs, the ATTO 1 is now Nepal’s most affordable BYD EV, competing directly with models like the Tata Tiago EV and Wuling Bingo.

Internationally known as the BYD Seagull, the ATTO 1 is built on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 and features a compact footprint ideal for urban driving. Powered by a 45 kW permanent magnet motor and a 30.08 kWh Blade LFP battery, it delivers a real-world range of around 280 km (WLTP) perfect for daily commutes in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Despite its budget-friendly price, it packs impressive tech: 6 airbags, a large rotating infotainment screen, voice control, smart connectivity, and a minimalist, modern cabin. The ATTO 1 is aimed at eco-conscious urban drivers looking for a safe, practical, and stylish EV under Rs. 30 lakhs.

BYD ATTO 1 Performance

The BYD ATTO 1 delivers 75 hp and 135 Nm of torque, making it quick and responsive in congested city traffic. With a top speed of 130 km/h, it comfortably handles highway cruising as well. Thanks to its lightweight structure, low center of gravity, and front-wheel drive setup, the ATTO 1 offers agile handling and smooth maneuverability for urban environments.

The ATTO 1 follows BYD’s “Ocean Aesthetics” design language with a youthful and aerodynamic shape. The BYD ATTO 1 has officially launched in Nepal with two variants. The Dynamic variant comes equipped with a 30.08 kWh battery that delivers a WLTP range of up to 230 kilometers and is priced at Rs. 28.95 lakhs. Meanwhile, the Premium variant offers a larger 38.88 kWh battery with an extended WLTP range of 300 kilometers and carries a price tag of Rs. 32.99 lakhs. Both variants are now available for booking following their debut at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025.
