Kathmandu, The Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 is set to showcase 35 brand-new vehicles at the Bhirkutimandap Exhibition Ground in Kathmandu from Shrawan 21 to 25. Organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the event promises to be Nepal’s largest automobile exhibition to date, combining innovation, sustainability, and interactive experiences for attendees.

At a press briefing held Monday, NAIMA Executive Director Raj Kumar Dulal hosted the event while Auto Expo Committee member Gaurav Sarada opened with remarks highlighting the expo’s vision and goals. Committee Chairman Shirish Kumar Murarka provided details about the improved infrastructure at Bhirkutimandap and emphasized the growing importance of mobility solutions in Nepal’s evolving transport landscape.

Focus on New Technology, EVs, and Smart Mobility Solutions

This year’s expo will unveil 35 new vehicles:

  1. 15 two-wheelers
  2. 15 four-wheelers
  3. 5 commercial vehicles

The exhibition will spotlight electric vehicles (EVs) and emerging mobility technologies aimed at promoting sustainable transportation in Nepal. Murarka confirmed that several models will feature cutting-edge technology and global design standards.

More than 50 domestic and international automobile brands are expected to participate. The event has secured major sponsorships and strategic partners, including:

Rs. 1 Lakh for Best Expo Video in Online Contest

NAIMA has also announced a nationwide online video contest tied to the event. Participants can submit expo-related videos on social media until Shrawan 21. One standout creator will win Rs. 1,00,000, while 10 other top videos uploaded between Shrawan 21-25 will each receive Rs. 10,000.

This initiative aims to increase youth engagement and raise public awareness about new vehicle technologies and smart mobility.

Thought Leadership Sessions with National, International Experts

The five-day expo will feature expert-led sessions and policy panels. The opening day will include a special talk by Anil Keshary Shah on “Mobility: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow” from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Subsequent sessions will host representatives and thought leaders from:

  2. Kathmandu University
  3. Ministry of Education
  4. National Planning Commission
  5. Ministry of Finance
  6. Institute of Road Traffic Education, India

NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya, in her closing remarks at the press briefing, expressed gratitude toward media and sponsors. She emphasized the expo’s goal of becoming Nepal’s premier automobile and mobility event, adding that the fifth day will host high-level panel discussions with national and international mobility experts.

Expo Tickets and Student Scholarships

Tickets are available via Khalti by IME, with prices set at:

  1. Rs. 100 for students
  2. Rs. 200 for general visitors

NAIMA announced that 5% of ticket proceeds will be used to fund mobility-related scholarships and fellowships for students. This program will be managed in coordination with the Ministry of Education and the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).
