The upcoming Deepal S05 electric SUV has been spotted on the streets of Kathmandu, marking its first public appearance in Nepal. The EV is set to launch officially during the NADA Auto Show 2025, starting on Bhadra 3 (August 19, 2025).

Deepal S05 to Launch in Three Variants in Nepal

According to MAW Vriddhi, the authorized distributor of Deepal vehicles in Nepal, the S05 will be offered in three variants:

  1. Lite - Rs. 62,99,000
  2. Plus - Rs. 65,99,000
  3. Max - Rs. 67,99,000

“These are indicative prices for customs purposes and may be revised upon official release,” the company stated.

The Deepal S05 is being imported from Thailand, marking the first time a Thailand-assembled Chinese EV will be sold in Nepal.

Key Specifications and Design Details

While battery specifications have not yet been disclosed, the model has been confirmed to feature a 99 kW electric motor. Based on the China-spec version, the S05 adopts Deepal’s futuristic “Interstellar Flying Wing” design and is available in five exterior colors.

The SUV measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,880 mm placing it squarely in the compact electric SUV segment.

The Deepal S05 is expected to deliver a high-tech user experience. Some of its notable technology features include:

For safety, the S05 incorporates:

“Official feature confirmation for Nepal-spec units will be announced closer to launch,” said a representative from MAW Vriddhi.
