The Hyundai Creta Electric, launched in Nepal by Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., is a feature-packed, mid-size electric SUV aimed at redefining Hyundai’s position in the growing EV segment. Priced between Rs. 51.96 Lakhs and Rs. 59.96 Lakhs, the Creta EV comes in four trims : Executive, Smart, Smart (O), and Premium+, all powered by a 99 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor paired with a 42 kWh Lithium-ion battery offering an MIDC-certified range of 390 km. Designed on a modified version of the ICE Creta’s K2 platform, it retains the popular design while incorporating EV-specific enhancements like dual-barrel LED headlamps, pixelated grille, and 17-inch Aero alloy wheels. Inside, it features dual 10.25-inch digital displays, a drive selector knob, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and ADAS Level 2 in higher variants. Safety is bolstered with 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, and electronic parking brake. With up to 200 mm ground clearance, multiple charging options including DC fast charging (10-80% in 58 minutes), and smart features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) support, the Creta Electric blends performance, practicality, and premium feel. Though it faces stiff competition from rivals like BYD Atto 3, the Creta Electric undercuts them in price while offering the reliability and brand value of Hyundai. A Long Range variant with a 51.4 kWh battery and 473 km range is also set to launch soon, making the Creta EV a compelling choice for Nepali buyers seeking a future-ready electric SUV.
