The Dongfeng Nammi 01, distributed in Nepal by MAW Vriddhi, enters the Nepali EV market as one of the most value-packed electric hatchbacks. Priced from Rs. 32.49 Lakhs to Rs. 36.49 Lakhs, the Nammi 01 is now updated with a more tax-friendly 49.5 kW (50 kW) PMSM motor, replacing the previously offered 70 kW unit. This update aligns with Nepal’s evolving EV tax structure while keeping the vehicle competitively priced.

It comes in two battery configurations: 31.4 kWh (E2) and 42.3 kWh (E3) Lithium Iron Phosphate packs, offering impressive WLTP-certified ranges of 237 km and 317 km respectively. Built on Dongfeng’s modern Quantum Architecture S3 Platform, the Nammi 01 delivers improved efficiency, connectivity, and ride comfort. With new single-tone and dual-tone color options, advanced features, and a premium cabin experience, the Nammi 01 stands as an attractive urban EV for Nepali families.

While slightly detuned from the earlier 70 kW version, it still offers smooth acceleration and confident city driving dynamics. The hatchback’s lightweight body and efficient motor tuning make it highly energy-efficient, particularly suited for Kathmandu traffic and daily urban commutes. With a top speed of 130 km/h, DC fast charging (30-80% in approx. 30 minutes), and stable road manners supported by a MacPherson + Torsion Beam suspension setup, the Nammi 01 ensures a refined, practical, and easy-to-handle driving experience.

The Dongfeng Nammi 01 is available in Nepal starting from Rs. 32.49 Lakhs for the E2 Single Tone variant and goes up to Rs. 36.49 Lakhs for the top-spec E3 Dual Tone (70 kW) model. The updated 2025 lineup has become a mix of existing 70 kW-stocked variants and newly introduced 50 kW variants.

Although Dongfeng Nepal plans to discontinue the 70 kW versions after clearing inventory, buyers currently still have access to both motor options across six trims. The E3 50 kW variant is expected to become the new mainstream offering, while the price for the E2 50 kW model is yet to be disclosed. Variants differ mainly by battery size, motor output, and features like ADAS, 360° camera, automatic AC, and advanced driver aids.
